Lamella is a non-stationary queer art house that temporarily uses the city space as a part of its artistic activities. Lamella was founded in 2016 by Vala Tomasz Foltyn in Krakow. The goal of its organizers is to exhibit, produce and document the artists’ and activists’ work, focusing on queer and feminist discourse. Lamella residents engage in the process of political, cultural and sexual liberation. As a collective based on friendship, its members are interested in developing alternative forms of art production and devote to create a stable local community in response to the hypercapitalist notions of exclusion, productivity and labour. During Lava Festival II Lamella will present performances on a first day of the festival, that is May 11.
